Carl Allen Smith, Sr.

August 24, 1944 — December 29, 2015

Carl Allen Smith, Sr., age 71 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Mildred Shake Smith; brother, Dennis Ray Smith; and grandson, Christopher Michael Hardesty.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marilyn Fust Smith; his children, Carl Allen Smith, Jr (Lori), Timothy Scott Smith (Mary), Michael Aaron Smith and Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Mannon (Brian); grandchildren, Javier Edwardo Sanchez (Stacey), Carl Allen Smith, III (Therese), Enedina Maria Smith, Brandon Leigh Wooten (Joni), Ida Mae Pildner (Aaron) and Brittany Faye Snyder (Tate); great-grandchildren, Haley, Alexis, Enedina, Carson, Zoey, Rocky, Christian, Savanah, and one on the way; brothers, Melvin Edward Smith (Judy), Jimmy Dean Smith, William "Bill" Wayne Smith; sister, Carol Arlene Copeland; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday, January 1, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. Funeral ceremony will be 1pm Saturday, January 2nd at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Hosparus or the Disabled American Veterans.
