On Monday, October 19, 2015 Caola went home to be with her Heavenly Father.
Caola was born November 3, 1933 in Henderson County, KY to the late Theotto Warfield (Virginia Warfield) and Bessie Key Warfield. She was preceded in death by her brother, Homer Fletcher.
She confessed her faith in the Lord at an early age at Seventh Street Baptist Church, Henderson, KY and after moving to Louisville, KY she joined Bear Grass Baptist Church then moved her membership to Guiding Star Baptist Church where she was faithful until her death.
She worked in the church and was a long time member of the Mass & Senior Choir, Missionary Society, Sunday School and several other ministries.
Caola graduated from the Kentucky School for the Blind in 1956.
There she learned how to become very independent and able to live as if she could see.
She owned her own home and worked under several employment opportunities for the blind.
Caola is survived by two sisters, Mary Frances Yates, Cincinnati, Ohio and Carolyn Warfield Smith, Georgetown, KY; nieces, Marie A. Anthony, Louisville, KY, Sydney Suggs, Denise Yates, Cincinnati, Ohio, nephews, Bernard Yates, Federal Way, Washington, Sammy Yates, Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio and Terry Suggs, Henderson, KY, several cousins and one very close cousin, Mary Long, Henderson, KY.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Guiding Star Baptist Church (2724 Muhammad Ali Blvd. Louisville, KY 40212) with a funeral service to honor the life of Caola starting at 2 p.m. at church.
