Candace Elaine Pedigo, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Candace was a loving wife, mother, daughter, Mom-O, sister, and friend to many. She retired after 40 years of service at JCPS, 38 years in Jefferson county and 2 years in Florida. She will truly be missed by anyone and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was born on August 31, 1950 in Bad Constat, Germany at an Army Hospital to James and Wanda (Mumford) Carter. She is preceded in death by her father, Sgt. Major James R. Carter.
Candace is survived by her loving Husband of 40 years, Donald "Don" Pedigo; mother, Wanda E. Carter; daughter, Jennifer E. (Eli) Mattingly; grandchildren, Dalton Mattingly, Colton Mattingly, Jaxton Mattingly, Ellie Mattingly, and Ashley Mattingly; siblings, Kevin (Sherry) Carter, Cheryl (Bob) Parr, Kimberly Carter, and Keith (Laura) Carter; nephew, Russell (Paige) Early. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Celebration of Life Service will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
The family requests that contributions in Candace's memory be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
