Camden Cain Reed

Camden Cain Reed, 30, of Crestwood KY passed away far too soon on September 20, 2025.

Born on September 5, 1995 in Louisville KY to Rebecca Cain and Louis Reed.

After moving to Florida, Camden graduated with honors from Robinson High School and received his Associate Degree in electrical engineering from Hillsborough College in Tampa, Florida.

While he took pride in his accomplishments, it was his love of basketball that truly defined his younger years. Whether he was on the court shooting hoops, cheering on his Kentucky Wildcats, or cheering for any team that Luka Dončić played on, Camden’s passion for the game never faded.

Anyone who knew Camden knew his humor was unmatched and how deep his love for his family ran. He had a playful sense of humor always delivered with his unique sense of sarcasm. All who loved him will remember his contagious smile and his love for comedy.

Camden is survived by Marley, his beloved cat, his parents Rebecca Cain and Louis Reed (Debie); brothers and sisters, Robert “Tyler” Reed (Cassandra), Michael Reed and Shelly Schneider (Brian); Grandparents, Sherry Cain and Ray Lantz; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Camden’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 2:00 pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Chapel, at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville KY 40243. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 am until the service time.

In Camden’s honor, the family is dressing in UK apparel. Any and all are welcome to participate.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Camden’s memory may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
