Calvin "Babe" was born on February 20, 1921 to the late Issac and Pearline Catching in West Point, KY. He was called home on May 26, 2019.
He grew up in West Point, Kentucky attending school there. On August 14, 1948, he was united in holy matrimony to Anna Lee Kemp. Of this union, three children were born. He joined church at an early age. He was a World War II veteran and he retired from Cosmo Cement Plant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee Kemp; daughter Linda Katchen and sisters, Stella Williams, Phyllis Willis and Irma Catching.
He was a man of God and loved his family who he leaves to cherish, his devoted daughter, Georgianna "Tootie" Allen and Tony (Joyce) Katchen; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 1 niece; 4 nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Meadowlawn Baptist Church, 12103 Old Orell Road, Louisville, KY, from 9am-10:30am with a celebration of Calvin's life beginning at 10:30am.
Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Ln, Mt Washington, KY 40047.
