C. Louise (Armstrong) Phipps, 92, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She was a founding member of Hamburg Church of Christ. Louise enjoyed many things but her true love was spending time with her family.
Louise was born on July 28, 1925 in Charlestown, IN to the late James Armstrong & Eulala (Finley) Kursner. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell D. Phipps; son, Karl D. Phipps; son in law, Wayne Rice; and siblings, Dorothy Weber, Loren Armstrong, Melvin Armstrong & Marcella Burton.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Stockdell (Vincent) & Jo Rice; grandson, Jonathan Stockdell (Olivia); granddaughter, Kimberlyn Rice; great grandson, Alexander; nieces, Marla Davis & Margie Fetter; and nephew, Charles Weber.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.
