Bryan Paul Warneke, aged 63, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Born on May 29, 1962, in New Albany, Indiana, Bryan led a life marked by dedication, both to his country and to the passions that brought him joy.
Bryan was a proud veteran, having served his state with honor in the Indiana National Guard for 12 years, where he was a medic. His commitment to service was paralleled by his love for the outdoors, particularly fishing, an activity he embraced wholeheartedly and found deep satisfaction in.
He was the beloved son of Judith (Denison) Warneke and the late Fred Warneke. Bryan was preceded in death by his father and his nephew, Roman Whitener.
He leaves behind his devoted mother, Judy Warneke; his sisters, Catherine Whitener and her husband David, as well as Robin Warneke. His memory will also be cherished by his loving nieces, Jessica and MacKenzie, and his great-nieces and nephew, Destiny, Hailey, and Travis.
Bryan was cremated, and his care has been entrusted to Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in New Albany. He will be laid to rest with military honors at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026 at New Albany National Cemetery.
