Bruce Pate, 64, of Bedford, Kentucky passed away on June 7, 2017. Bruce was born in Louisville on February 25, 1953 to Frank and Ruth Pate. He graduated from Westport High School in 1972 and worked as a cameraman for WHAS and later as a technician for Delta Mobile Testing. Bruce will be remembered for his sense of humor. He always had a smile, story, and corny joke to share with anyone and everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Pate and a brother, Phillip Pate. He is survived by two children; Brian Pate and Brittany Mitchell (Daniel); mother, Ruth Pate; partner, Diane Gross; brother, Frank Pate (Sandy); two grandchildren, Davin and Connor Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A private memorial gathering of family and friends is planned. Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
