William Bruce Hall (Bruce) of Louisville peacefully passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 after an extended illness, with his loved ones by his side. He was born May 8, 1943 to Robert Craig Hall and Charlotte Robards Hall and grew up with his brother Thomas Craig Hall, and sisters, Virginia Hall and Alice Hall Hamilton, (Rowe). His parents, brother and sister-in-law, Vicki Lahman, preceded him in death.
Bruce graduated from the first graduating class of Seneca High School in 1961. He was a member of Hikes Point Christian Church. He was known for his exceptional work ethic, accountability and fairness --- values that guided him through more than 30 years of management in the Scrap Metal Industry. He served as Vice President of the Railroad Dismantling Division at Louisville Scrap Material Co., and later at Progress Rail.
Bruce married his high school sweetheart, Marsha Birchfield Hall, who survives him; as do their two children, Dr. Marshall Craig Hall, (Beth) and Dana Lynn Breiner, (Steve).
Bruce demonstrated a profound devotion to his family. His grand and great-grandchildren were his greatest joy as he was theirs. Left to remember him are:granddaughter, Whitney Fowler, (Creed), (sons Caleb and Luke); grandsons, Nathan Breiner, (Lyndsey), (sons Brady and Brooks), , Matthew Craig Hall (Lulu), Dr. Garrett Breiner (Meghan), (son Camden and daughter, Bailey) and David Andrew Hall.
