Brenton Lee Goss, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 31,2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend cherished by his family and all who knew him.
Born on January 2, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Edward and Doris (Keeling) Goss, Brenton was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served his country with honor and dedication for eight years. He brought joy to those around him not only as a devoted family man but also through his passion for fishing, seizing every opportunity to indulge in his favorite pastime and He was also a big advocate for medical marijuana.
Brenton is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sherri Goss; two daughters, Buffy Goss and Brandy (Scott) Wilson; as well as grandchildren Sarah (Frank) Goss, Brenton (Whitney) Boone, Kayla (Mark) Wilson, and Scotty Wilson. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Leeland Keen, Lillian Keen, Alazae Boone, Alice Boone, Fionah Wilson, Kylie McDonald, Kalvin McDonald, Kinley Wilson, and Laylani. Brenton's legacy will be cherished by a host of family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Brenton Goss and Doris Jean McGlasson, and his brother, Doug Goss.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Brenton’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
