Brenda Lee Stonecipher, born on September 21, 1967, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, leaving a legacy defined by deep devotion to her loved ones and unwavering commitment to her family’s happiness. Brenda’s life was marked by steadfast love, integrity, and compassion—qualities that radiated through every relationship she built and every role she embraced.
Brenda grew up in a bustling household, one of eighteen children, a formative experience that instilled in her a sense of warmth, connection, and resilience. Those early days shaped the values that would define her adult years: loyalty, honesty, and an abiding sense of responsibility. Throughout her life, Brenda demonstrated these virtues as a loyal wife, a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a cherished sister.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Sam Stonecipher Sr., whose partnership brought Brenda strength and joy throughout their years together. Her legacy continues through her children: Amanda Ramirez, Samuel Stonecipher Jr. (Stephanie), Candi Stonecipher (Joseph), Savannah Moran, and Josh Stonecipher. Brenda’s nurturing spirit was evident in her dedication to each child, guiding them with patience and unconditional support.
The joy of Brenda’s life was magnified through her grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Surviving grandchildren include Fernando Martinez, Fabian Martinez, Shila Martinez, Faustino Martinez, Jaiden Stonecipher, Isaiah Stonecipher, Christian Stonecipher, Marie Wilson, Dalton Harmon, Armando Moran, Timberly Moran, Nathanael Moran, Joshua Stonecipher, and Reid Stonecipher. Brenda delighted in spending time with them, encouraging them, and witnessing the unfolding of each unique journey.
Brenda’s parents, Columbus Bolen and Dorothy Bolen, also preceded her in death, and their cherished memories continued to guide her throughout her life.
Her interests brought her even closer to those she loved. Brenda found joy in camping, fishing, and travel, pursuits that provided treasured experiences and lasting memories for her family. Whether watching car races—particularly NASCAR—or sharing stories around the campfire, Brenda’s presence made every moment more meaningful. Her happiest times were those spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren, sharing laughter and love.
Brenda was known for her hardworking nature, always leading by example with honesty and compassion. Across every season of her life, she served as a cornerstone of strength and reliability for those around her. Of all her proudest accomplishments, none compared to the fulfillment she felt as she watched her family grow, guiding them with gentle wisdom and celebrating every milestone.
Friends and family are invited to honor Brenda’s life at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. Visitation will be held on July 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 6:00 PM.
