Brenda Kay Elliott, 66, loving mother and grandma "Grams," of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday evening, December 30, 2015. She was the former owner of Brenda's Hideaway in New Albany. Brenda was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed collecting bears and roses.
She was born on September 18, 1949 in Paoli, Indiana to the late Hershel and Henrietta (Hess) Elliott. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Merle, Larry Elliott; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Arensman.
Brenda is survived by her son, Richard Arensman (Paula); brothers, Wayne (Mary), Gary (Shirley), Clyde (Pat), Roger (Donna), Terry Elliott; grandchildren, Heather, Lance, Danielle, Richie, Derrick, Austin; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 PM to 6 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) with her Funeral Service will take place at 6 PM on Tuesday in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Brenda's wishes.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the family.
