Brenda Faye (Sheckell) Roberts, 64, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016. She was a simple and selfless individual that always put others before herself.
She was born on February 21, 1952, in New Albany to Douglas Sheckell and the late Betty (Briles) Sheckell. Brenda was also preceded in death by her husband, Orville Roberts; and fiancé, Bob Dierth.
Along with her father, Brenda is survived by her son, Donald Briles (Connie); siblings, Harold Sheckell (Vennie), Rita Byerley, Tammie Staser (Art), Pandora Lanham (David), and Deanna Woodruff (Eddie); grandchildren, Ryian Briles, Sarah Mason (Shawn), and Dalton Briles; and great-grandchildren, Sophie, Brianna, and TaeShawn.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Her Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
