Brenda Cox

Brenda Cox, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

She was born on June 18, 1945 in Albany, Kentucky. Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Baby and Rosie.

Brenda worked for the Jefferson County Court system for many years, she was very active in politics and was an avid lover of animals. She enjoyed working in the yard and taking zoomba and aerobic classes.

Brenda is survived by her loving son, Greg (Teri) Coffey, sister, Shirley Stivers (James), nieces, Cindy Walker (Joe), Melodie Brown (Charlie), Melissa Crawford, great-nephews, Jacob Stewart and Logan Alexander and her very dear friends, Peggy Mudd-Broadway and Johanna Galvez.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family requests that contributions in Brenda’s memory be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
