Brenda Carol (Smith) Jones, 65, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on July 5, 2016. She was born on May 2, 1951, in Hazard, Kentucky, to James and Ida Mae (Henson) Jessee. Brenda worked in sales for many years and later was a waitress. She enjoyed walking, riding motorcycles, and roller skating. Brenda also loved to spoil all her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Smith; and sister, Ailene Mullins. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Kenneth Jones; children, Kendall Jessee (Dana), Billy Jo Bruderle, Kenneth Jones, Jr., Stephen Jones (Karey), and Shawn Jones (Brandi); siblings, Jeff Jessee (Leah), William Jessee (Martha), and Gary Jessee (Cheryl); 25 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Newcomer Funeral Home.
