Brandon Michael Sears

Brandon Michael Sears, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on September 25, 2026. He was born on December 18, 1989, in Louisville, and will be remembered for the strength of his spirit and the love he carried for his family.

Brandon attended classes at Jeffersonville High School and went on to work diligently in the construction industry for numerous years. He was a hardworking man whose efforts reflected his determination and resilience. 

It is with heavy hearts that we remember and honor the life of a truly special person who touched the lives of many. His journey was not always easy. He faced struggles and hardships along the way, but those struggles never took away the kindness he carried in his heart. He knew what it was like to hurt, and perhaps because of that, he understood how important it was to be there for others. He was someone who would help whenever he could, often putting the needs of others before his own. Whether it was a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply being there when someone needed him, he gave what he could without expecting anything in return. 

Above all, he was loyal. When he loved someone, he loved them wholeheartedly. He stood by the people he cared about through good times and bad, and his friendship and love were something that could be counted on. His life had its challenges, he should be remembered not by the struggles he faced, but by the love he gave, the people he helped, and the memories he left behind. 

His absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. But his kindness, loyalty, and willingness to help others will live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. May he finally find the peace he deserved, and may his memory always remind us to be there for one another. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

At the heart of Brandon’s life was his family. He is survived by his father, Gary Sears (Angie), and his mother, Vivian Lee Alexander. He also leaves behind his children, Audrienna Smith, Jordan Smith, Hailie Burk, and Lorelai Hill, who were a deeply important part of his life and legacy. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Sears, Jr (Lakenda); his sister, Shawnna Hessig; and his sister Bethany Hartsfield (Brent). He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Jackie Hessig, and by his aunt, Mary Hessig. Each of them carries forward memories of Brandon’s presence, his hardworking nature, and the unmistakable spirit that made him who he was.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Hessig; his grandfather, James Howard; his grandmother, Chris Howard; and grandmother Vivian Broy. Their memory remained a part of the family story that shaped his life.

Visitation will be held on October 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral service will follow there at 6:00 p.m.

Brandon’s life was marked by hard work, deep family ties, and a spirit that was entirely his own. He will be missed with love and remembered always.
