Brandon Dale Scifres, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on August 4, 2026, in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Born on October 22, 1986, in Louisville, Brandon’s life reflected kindness, curiosity, and a deep connection to those around him.
Brandon’s early years in Louisville shaped a gentle nature that touched everyone he met. He was known for his sincere interest in others’ well-being—never failing to start a conversation with genuine care, always paired with a smile that could light up any room.
Pursuing his passion for technology, Brandon studied Computer Science at Sullivan University, building both his skills and lifelong friendships. This educational path led to a fulfilling career as a Computer Tech at General Electric, where his technical expertise and helpful spirit made him a valued colleague.
Outside of work, Brandon had a love for watching sports, especially football, and delighted in tinkering with electronics. His natural curiosity and hands-on approach brought joy to his downtime and enriched the lives of those who learned alongside him. A devoted member of Emmanuel Assembly of God, Brandon’s faith was an important part of his journey, guiding him with compassion and purpose.
Brandon’s affection extended deeply to his pets, Precious and Skylar, who were his constant companions and brought him immense happiness. Family meant the world to him, and he leaves behind his mother, Carol Scifres; his father, Roger Lothery; his bonus brother, Yellah; his bonus sister, Kate; his dear friend Jamie; his aunt Tammy (Joe); his uncle Mike (Cathy); several cousins, and many others who will miss him terribly. He is preceded in death by Grammer and Pop-Pop, who always held a special place in his heart.
His memory will be cherished by those whose lives he touched—with a legacy of warmth, authenticity, and unwavering kindness.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 4:00 PM.
