Brandon Alexander Madden

Brandon Alexander Madden, born on January 22, 1995, left this world much too soon on July 17, 2026. Though his years were fewer than anyone wished, Brandon’s presence was luminous—his life leaves a powerful mark on all who had the privilege to know and love him. His story is one of open-hearted laughter, strength, and the unmistakable warmth of a soul who found beauty and adventure in the world around him.

Brandon was known, above all else, as a gentle giant, someone whose laughter could fill the room and whose kindness never wavered. Children and animals gravitated toward him, sensing his infinite compassion and patience. His friends and family remember a man who “loved hard and loved everyone he met” with an openness that was rare and genuine—a spark that could ignite joy, even in the most challenging moments.

A proud uncle, Brandon adored his nieces and nephews, celebrating every milestone and sharing his curiosity and enthusiasm for life. He was a steadfast big brother, embracing his role with affection and a fierce protectiveness. Family was the heart of Brandon’s world; he cherished every moment spent playing, learning, and laughing together.

Those who knew him best recognized Brandon’s captivating blend of strength and creativity. He was an outdoor adventurist, deeply at home on the water, fishing rod in hand, or exploring the woods with the ease of someone who felt kinship with the earth. Brandon’s hands were rarely idle—whether he was honing the craft of candle-making, creating with rug tufting, or tackling the next fix on a truck, he exuded both skill and enthusiasm.

His fascination for Viking history was a testament to his inquisitive nature, always eager to delve into stories of courage and camaraderie. Yet, some of his fondest and most enduring memories were forged closer to home, astride his motorcycle with his boys, or sprawled on the floor constructing worlds from Legos and racing Hot Wheels.

Brandon’s work ethic was indefatigable. At Love’s Travel Stops, he was known for his willingness to take extra shifts, his delight in solving the toughest truck problems, and his steadfast loyalty to his coworkers. Every task was met with resolve, every challenge an opportunity to lend a hand or share a joke—work was never just a job, but a place to build connections and give of himself.

Among his proudest accomplishments, Brandon held his family and children close to his heart. Additionally, his membership in Cryptic Souls MC was a source of immense pride. Loyal to all other clubs across the state, Brandon was unwavering in his dedication to supporting charity events for those in need. The bonds he formed within the club community were meaningful and enduring, mirroring his philosophy of inclusivity and service.

Brandon’s life, though brief, was lived with rare exuberance and wholeheartedness. His memory glows within the laughter of loved ones, the echo of an engine roaring down the highway, the gentle hum in the workshop, and in every act of kindness shared in his name.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Lindsey and James Madden; grandmother, Irma Hauber; great-grandmother, Marie Wood; uncle, David Lindsey; aunt, Gail Lindsey; father-in-law, Gary L. Thomas and uncle-in-law, Calvin Bloyd.

Brandon leaves behind his queen, Anna Madden; sons, Curtis, William, David, Hunter and Fisher; parents, Shannon and Jay Madden; sisters, Tyanna (Patrick), Kimberly (Andrew), Ashley Jo, Destini (Jerimiah) and Dixie; mother-in-law, Carolynn Thomas; brother-in-law, Michael Thomas; father-in-law, Steve Walden; aunts, Penny Ann (Douglas), Renia, Cheryl (Jose) and Cindy (Russell); nieces, nephews and several honorary brothers and sisters. 

A public visitation to celebrate Brandon’s memory will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272, on July 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Family, friends, coworkers, and all whose lives Brandon touched are warmly invited to come together, share stories, and honor the vibrant legacy he leaves behind.

Brandon Alexander Madden’s journey may have ended, but the courage, laughter, and love he gave so freely endure—guiding and inspiring those fortunate enough to have shared in his remarkable life.
