Bowen Beigay Mann, a beloved member of his family and community, passed away on January 27, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 49. Born on July 24, 1976, in New Albany, Indiana, Bowen spent his formative years in a town that shaped his free-spirited and adventurous personality. He was a proud graduate of New Albany High School and later attended classes at IUS, always seeking to expand his horizons.
In his professional life, Bowen dedicated himself to the food and beverage industry, working diligently for many years. His commitment to his career was evident, but it was his dedication to family that truly defined him. Bowen was a loving family man, known for his straightforward demeanor, loyalty, and quick wit that always brought joy to those around him.
Bowen's interests were as expansive as his heart. He had a profound love for music, frequently attending festivals and concerts that celebrated his favorite artists.. His adventurous spirit led him to enjoy various outdoor activities such as boating, snowboarding, skateboarding, and golfing. Bowen cherished every moment spent with his family, especially during hikes and outings in nature, creating memories that will last a lifetime. During his free time, he often enjoyed watching his beloved sports teams compete, whether it was the Kentucky Wildcats or the Cincinnati Reds. He was also a devoted dog owner to his beloved fur baby, Sissy, who was always by his side. Bowen possessed a deep affection for others and never encountered a stranger; his charming personality effortlessly attracted people to him. He impacted countless lives and leaves behind a wonderful tapestry of friendships.
He is survived by his daughter, Eden Mann; mother, Hedy Peyton; stepfather, William P. Peyton; his brother, James J. (Sarah) Mann IV; nephew, James J. Mann; niece, Aribel T. Mann; nephew, Ben P. Mann; stepbrothers, Noel B. Peyton and Kelly D. (Stephanie) Peyton; stepsister, Carly R. (Ryan) Peyton; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family. Bowen’s pride swelled whenever he witnessed the success of his family, a testament to his unwavering support and encouragement.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Joseph Mann III, whose memory will forever be cherished by those who loved them both.
Bowen’s life will be celebrated during a heartfelt service on February 7, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located in New Albany. Friends and family are invited to gather from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM in honor of the vibrant life Bowen lived, filled with adventure, laughter, and an abundance of love.
