Bonnie Sue McConnell, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
She was born on December 31, 1939 in Glencoe, Kentucky to Charles and Emma (Stone) Boaz. Bonnie was an animal lover and volunteered with the Humane Society of Canton. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed working in the yard. Bonnie volunteered and later was employed with Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. McConnell; father, Charles Bronson Boaz; mother, Emma Mae Boaz; brother, Ray Boaz; sister, Juanita Boaz; and great grandchild, Daniel Lutz.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Lisa McConnell; son, David McConnell (Sandra); grandchildren, Shannon Hall (Brett), Jessica Lutz (Eric), Kyle Ezell (Nikayla), and Hannah McConnell; great grandchildren, Sadie Lutz, Lainey Lutz, Lyla Ezell, Joseph Lutz, and Logan Lutz; brother, Kenny Boaz (Lois); sister-in-law, Mary Boaz; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). Her Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in Bonnie's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or The Humane Society of the United States.
