Bonnie Geraldine Lewis

Today we celebrate the homegoing of my beautiful mother Bonnie Geraldine Lewis, born to Joyce and Howard Lewis July 13th, 1950. Bonnie lost her battle on the earthly dwelling November 23rd, 2024 at age 74 as a patient in Jewish Hospital after struggling with illness.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter Stephanie (Lewis) Murray, son-in-law, Antonio Murray, Sr., grandchildren, Aniya Murray and Antonio Murray, Jr; siblings, Wendell Lewis, Sr., Denny Lewis, Sr., Angela Helm, Melvin Lewis Sr., Helen Yvette Lewis. She is preceded in death by Joyce G. Lewis, Howard Lewis, Sr., Terry Lewis, Sr., and Neil Lewis, Sr.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by her beloved cousins, family, and friends. Bonnie was known to be the life of the party, her witty personality and quick comebacks. Last but not least, we cannot forget her love for fashion and her UofL attire.

To honor my mother, visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
