Bonnie Gilpin

Bonnie Gilpin, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 24, 1956 to Daniel and Helen Burns. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church and an avid baker. She was a longtime employee of the YMCA CEP.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alexis Fromme; and siblings, Patricia Heibert, Terry Burns and Eddie Burns.

Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Terry Gilpin; two daughters, Melissa (Eric) Weisbard and Wendy (Donnie) Fromme; grandchildren, Connor Fromme, Raelee Fromme, Brennan Weisbard, Summer Weisbard, and Jordan Weisbard; two sisters, Judi (Doug) Dearmond and Kelly Scott; a sister-in-law, Dianna (Tim) Gaddis; and a host of other family members and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the YMCA in care of Spirit Campaign.
