Bobby Joe Clark

June 27, 1940 — February 11, 2022

Bobby Joe Clark, 81, was called to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 11, 2022.

Bobby graduated from Ahrens Trade School where he met his best friend for life Larry Pendleton. He married his wife of 61 years Joan Scheler Clark and they had six children Deborah Gober (Tom), Patricia Clark and Michael Clark (Lisa), Daralynn (Eric) and Cheri Clark. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joseph, Nathan, Jonathan, Walter, Eric, Dorothy, Evelyn, Gerald Jr., Ashley, Shane, Troy, Curtis, Robert, Valerie and Audrey. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and a sister Vicki Chandler (Michael).

Bobby is predeceased by his mother Flora Mae Sloan, his father Joseph Clark, his sister Deanna, his brother Don and his son Gerald.

Bobby had a love of music and played in many bands over the years. The most notable being Cabin Fever Band. He also had a love of travel. He loved a new adventure and began planning the family vacation every winter. By the time summer came and the van was loaded he didn't need to look at a map.

Bobby shared his many gifts with those who were in need. If you needed a shirt, pants, pair of shoes or socks he had them for you. He shopped the clearance racks at Target and brought home his finds and stored them away for those he knew would need them.

Next to his love of family was his love of Jesus. He was a Deacon for his church and it was an honor for him to serve.

The family would like to thank Arne Keister (Deborah) for being a great friend and family advisor. Also the wonderful staff at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany for their love and care shown to Bobby and his family.

In honor of Bobby the family asks that you donate blood to the American Red Cross and take a moment to tap your toes to your favorite song.
