Bobbie Marie Buehner, aged 63, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on September 15, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky, she grew up cherishing the bonds of family and friendship that would shape her kind and compassionate spirit throughout her life.
After graduating from high school in Louisville, Bobbie dedicated herself to becoming a devoted homemaker, pouring love into every meal and memory she created for her family. Her exceptional cooking skills were matched only by her love for the holidays, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving, when she would prepare large, delicious meals that brought everyone together. Each dish was not just a meal but a testament to her love and commitment to her family.
Bobbie's personality shone as a loving mother, loyal wife, and compassionate friend. Her devotion to her children was evident in everything she did, ensuring that they always had what they needed while nurturing their dreams and aspirations. She took immense pride in watching her family grow, a true testament to her role as a cornerstone of their lives.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jacob John Buehner, Sr.; son, Jacob Buehner, Jr.; daughter, Chilise Buehner; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa (Eddie) Luckenbill; brother, Calvin Poe; and brother, Darren Poe. Bobbie was also a doting grandmother, leaving behind an abundance of love and cherished memories for her grandchildren: Mason Neil Jacob Schamberger, Mal'Akhi John Robert Schamberger, Mina Marie Lucy-Ann Schamberger, Serenity Lynn Marie Buehner, Melodie Hazel Ann Buehner, Steven Michael Lee Cooper, Trenton Thomas James McNeal and Kindra Michelle Turner. She also leaves behind her nephews, Jamie Luckenbill and Eric Allen Whitlow, and her niece, Amber Casper and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mary Poe, and her husband, Robert Poe, both of whom she cherished deeply. Their memories live on in the stories and laughter of those she has left behind.
The visitation in honor of Bobbie will take place on August 26, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held on the same day at 6:00 PM.
