Bob Welch, 82, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Bob was retired from Prosser Career Education Center where he taught printing for many years. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Bob will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
He was born on November 26, 1937, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Morris and Clara (Kochert) Welch. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Welch.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Linda "Kathy" Welch; daughter, Dee Dee (Todd) Mix; son, Rob (Tari) Welch; grandsons, Joshua (Jessica Suhr) Mix and Justin Mix; and great-grandson, Otis.
A Private Visitation and Service will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). He will be laid to rest at St. John Catholic Church Cemetery in Starlight, Indiana.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Silvercrest and Visiting Angels for their wonderful care of Bob in his last days.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions in Robert's memory be made to St. John Catholic Church (8310 St. John's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) or to the charity of your choice.
