Billy Joe Powers

Billy Joe Powers, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on September 25, 1961, Joe had an appreciation for the simple joys that life had to offer. A skilled handyman, he found satisfaction in practical work and took great pride in his ability to tackle task that came his way.

Joe cherished the time spent with family and friends, often gathering for a competitive game of cornhole. His laughter and camaraderie left lasting memories with those who were lucky enough to know him. His passion for these moments reflected the values he held dear-a commitment to friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Amy Delgado, Joseph Powers, and Stephanie (Kristin) Powers; grandchildren, Isaac Delgado, Emma Powers, Eli Delgado, Olivia Powers, and Alaya Barbour; his sister, Deborah Powers; and brother, Donnie Powers.

Along with his parents, Lloyd Powers and Lillie Elsea Powers, Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Nora "Kathy" Powers; his brother, Larry Powers; and sister, Melissa Razer.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
