Billy John Grier

Billy John "Bill" Grier, 77, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. He was a United States Navy veteran. Bill worked as a realtor and was a former employee at Horseshoe Casino. He was proud of his Native American heritage and enjoyed handicapping horse races.

He was born on December 12, 1939, in Grand Saline, Texas, to the late John and Ora (Armstrong) Grier. Bill was also preceded in death by his son, Kyle Grier; grandson, Dylan Grier; sister, Mildred Crow; and nephew, Rodney Crow.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Holly Grier; niece, Ashley Martinez (Julio); nephew, Barry Crow; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Peyton, Wyatt, and Scarlett.

Cremation was chosen following Bill's wishes. He will be laid to rest with military honors at New Albany National Cemetery on Monday, November 6, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.

The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to the Humane Association of Clark County (2702 Middle Road, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130).
