Billy R. Davidson, Sr. (BJ) passed away on November 20, 2020 at his home after a long illness. He was born February 11, 1951 in Lexington, NC.
He worked at Ford Motor Company for 37 years before retiring and then went to work for Universal Allied Security for 10 years at the KTP-Ford, so he could be around his friends. Billy lived an interesting life always caring for everyone he came in contact with. He loved making people laugh, and never met a stranger. To know him was to love him, he was just a kind, bubbly, outgoing person.
Billy's family was his life, he lived for his sons, grand kids, and great grandchild, along with being a baseball and football coach, golfing and his Duke basketball team. He told his grandkids his nick name was Cool Whip as a joke and it stuck with him. They would call him Cool Whip. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Davidson, Sr. and Billie Shannon; sisters, Lydia Wright and Sharon Davidson; and his brother, Larry Davidson.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Davidson; sons, Billy (Kendra) Davidson, Jerry (Susan) Davidson, Scotty Davidson, Donny (Dawn) Davidson, and Ronny (Jennifer) Davidson; grandchildren, Hunter, Brennen, Keegan, Cullen, Jacob, Sydney, Jordan, Luke, Victoria, Cayla, Matt, Aurora, and Abigail; great grandchild, Bear; brother, Sherman Davidson, Jr.; sister, Michelle (Chuck) Hall; nieces & nephews, Kelly, Mark, Joseph, David, Maire, Shawn, Adam, Crystal, Jeffery, and Tyrone.
