Bill Yates, 79, of Louisville, passed away on June 25, 2015.
Bill was born in Elizabethton, TN on April 5, 1936, to the late William and Flossie Yates. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Yates; one daughter, Melinda Jean Hankins; and one granddaughter, Katie J. Hankins.
Survivors include his son, Mike Yates (Lynore); grandchildren, Maggie Velasquez, Jessica Karmire (Kodie), and Chelsea Yates; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy) with funeral ceremony following at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place in Evergeen Cemetery.
