Bill Earle Wright

Bill Earle Wright, a resilient and dedicated man known for his unwavering spirit and wide-ranging skills, passed away on May 28, 2026, in McDaniels, Kentucky. Born on August 10, 1948, in Bremerton, Washington, Bill lived a life marked by service, hard work, and deep devotion to those he cared about.

As an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War, Bill exemplified courage and commitment. His military service was a defining chapter of his life, one that shaped his character and his sense of duty. Beyond his service, Bill was truly a man of all trades, skillful in many areas and always willing to lend a hand to others in need. This warrior spirit extended into every part of his life, embodying strength and reliability.

Bill had a profound love for the outdoors and craftsmanship. Woodworking was a cherished pastime, reflecting both his creativity and patience. Complementing this, he found joy in hunting and fishing, activities that connected him to nature and offered him peaceful respite.

Among Bill’s proudest accomplishments were witnessing the birth of his grandson, a moment he held dear, and seeing his granddaughter rise to distinction as one of the state’s top archery players, a testament to the legacy of determination and talent he helped inspire in his family.

Family and friends were central to Bill’s happiness. He treasured the time spent in their company, sharing stories, laughter, and the simple pleasures of life. His presence was a source of strength and comfort to many, and his generous nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Bill Earle Wright’s journey came to a close, but the qualities that defined him—a warrior’s heart, a craftsman’s skill, and a loving spirit—will remain in the hearts of those he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of service, generosity, and family devotion that will endure through the generations.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wright Stark; parents, Bill and Ruth Wright; brother, Mike "Tiny" Wright and his best friend, William "Uncle Bubba" Livingston. 

Bill is survived by his children, Brittani Wright - Sears and Brian Wright; grandchildren, Makinley Wright and Weston Briar Wright; brother, Richard Wright; sister, Robin Stevens and several nieces and nephews.
