Beverly L. Curts

With deep respect and heartfelt remembrance, we announce the passing of Beverly L. Curts on July 24, 2026. Born on March 17, 1944, Beverly lived a life defined by dedication to family, boundless generosity, and genuine warmth.

Beverly's family was the cornerstone of her world. She is survived by her devoted daughter, DeAnna Stewart; her loving sons, Mark (Jennifer) Curts and Jonathan (Brittany Bullock) Curts; and a proud legacy of grandchildren: Brandy (OJ), Vanessa, LeeAnna, Alexandria (Logan), Kelsey (Zach), Wade, Teagen, Madyson, Lydia, Austin, Cadence, Gabriel, Easton, Kera, Eboni and Saddiq. Her life's joy continued into the next generation, cherished by great-grandchildren DejaRae, Jacob, Noah, Aaryn, Kamrey, and Jamia. Beverly also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who felt the happiness and comfort she so freely gave.

She now joins those who went before her: parents Harold and Elsie English; brothers Duane, David, and Leo; and sisters Phyllis and Shirley. Their memory, like Beverly's, will live on in the hearts of all who cherished them.

Beverly dedicated her professional life to service and connection. She worked for Floyd County Schools as a bus driver for over 25 years, impacting the lives of countless students with her kindness and dependability. Later, Beverly brought her sparkling presence and love for beauty to JCPenney’s jewelry department, where she spent many years cultivating both collections and friendships.

Beyond her working years, Beverly was known for her vibrant interests and talents. Whether enjoying a visit to the hair salon, sharing laughter and conversation, creating beautiful cakes for loved ones, or filling her home with the timeless voices of Elvis and Dolly, Beverly’s life was rich with passion. She was an avid jewelry collector, an enthusiastic crafter, painter, and seamstress, and she brought joy and creativity wherever she went.

For Beverly, life’s most treasured moments were those spent making memories with her family. Gathering for holidays-always with festive decorations-or simply welcoming her loved ones for a visit were the highlights of her days. Her children and grandchildren were her pride, her comfort, and her greatest joy.

To all who knew her, Beverly L. Curts was a source of kindness, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her legacy is woven into the fabric of her family and the many lives she touched along her journey.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Beverly’s life during visitation hours at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, August 1, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., also at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150.

Beverly L. Curts leaves behind a wealth of memories and a lasting reminder that a life devoted to love, family, and kindness is a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
