Beulah May Mayfield, 80, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
She was born on April 7, 1942, in Hardinsburg, Indiana, to Joseph and Grace (Shipp) App. Beulah was raised and educated in Hardinsburg. She married Lawrence Eugene Mayfield, and they settled in Lanesville, Indiana, and raised their family there. She worked at Kmart as a softline associate for 18 years. After Kmart closed, she worked for 5 years at the Walmart on Grant Line Road in the same position. She truly loved working at both Kmart and Walmart and enjoyed her customers and coworkers. She was a strong woman of faith and was devoted to her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, and feeding the hummingbirds. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Eugene Mayfield; son, Brandon Wade Mayfield; great-granddaughter, Mirrah Kate Troyer; brother, Edward Leon App; and son-in-law, Chaz Dailey.
Beulah is survived by her daughter, Bonita S. (James) McGuire; daughter, Cheryl A. Dailey; daughter, Sheila K. Mayfield; son, Keathan L. Mayfield; 10 grandchildren, Rachel (Jeff) Gipe, Hannah McGuire, James Caleb McGuire, Jordan McGuire, Jacob (Danielle) McGuire, Cherith (Josh) Morrison, Megan (Lee) Troyer, Amber (Jeremiah) Griff, Cory Teeter, and Cassie Teeter; 13 great-grandchildren, Kayden Henretty, Blaine Henretty, Chloe Morrison, Kinley Morrison, Avery Morrison, Harper Morrison, Floyd McGuire, Ashley Gipe, Matthew Gipe, Triniti Alane Troyer, Davonte Cal Griff, Berkeley Jada-Quinn Griff, and Kerrigan Dixie-Berlin Griff; sister-in-law, Judy App Broady; sister-in-law, Evelyn Mayfield; and numerous extended family members.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.
