Betty Joyce Whetstone, 70, went home to her Heavenly Father on May 13, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley Traylor, Sr. and Edna Lewis Traylor; grandson, Frank Leon Wooden and sisters, Lula Leonard and Alma Jean Patterson.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Frank Whetstone; children, Sharon Wooden, Althea (Kelly) Edmondson, Bernard Whetstone and Lavetra Whetstone; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Minnie Lee Edwards, John Wesley (Dorothy) Traylor, Jr. and Richard (Bernice) Traylor; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be at Canaan Christian Church (2840 Hikes Lane, Louisville, KY) May 18, 2017, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Betty's life beginning at 1pm.
Burial will follow at Green Meadows Cemetery, (3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY).
