Betty June Stigers Vosburgh, affectionately known as "Nana," passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 15, 1937, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and raised in Cropper, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Foree and Mary Blanche (Smith) Kelley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Vosburgh, and her cherished dog, Buddy.
Betty's educational journey began at Cropper Elementary School, culminating in her graduation from Bagdad High School in 1955. Her career was marked by dedication and passion, spanning from her time in retail management to her later role as a receptionist for Dr. Downs. Betty was a vibrant presence in the lives of many, characterized by her feisty, outgoing, fun-loving, and nurturing personality.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her family, including her son, Mark K. Stigers (Norma), and her daughters, Karen M. Gulde (Brian) and Liz Isbell (Gary). Betty was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Amber Doninger (Mark), Joseph Stigers (Kristen Willinger), Tara Pickett (Mike), Bree Ewing (Trevor Redner), Allen Isbell (Rachel), Eric Isbell (Emily), and David Isbell (Carol Ann). She also adored her thirteen great-grandchildren: Logan, Madelyn, Skylar, Gabriel, Jase, Asher, Noah, Levi, Oliver, Talon, Zachary, Samantha, and Henry. In addition, she is survived by her cousins, Garnett Kelley (Linda) and Maryilyn Morris (Joe).
Betty June Stigers Vosburgh will be remembered for her warmth, her vibrant spirit, and the love she so freely shared with those around her. Her family and friends will hold her memory dear as they gather to honor her life.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
Betty’s life may have concluded, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
