Betty Ann Spann

July 28, 1945 — July 4, 2017

Betty Ann Spann, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky at General Hospital on July 28, 1945 to the late Robert and Vinne Bass Sr. She was baptized at an early age at Portland Memorial Baptist Church and later became a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She loved to cook and bake.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Norman Goffner, Jr.; siblings, Robert Bass, Jr., Curry Bass, Edna Wilson, Charles Bass, and Jesse Bass.

Betty is survived by her beloved son, Anthony W. (Caltha) Goffner; siblings, Alice (Lester) Glass, Edith (William) Freeman and James C. Bass; two sister-in-laws, Peggy Bass and Justine Bass; and a host of other family members and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Greater Beginnings Christian Church, 2100 West Oak Street with burial to follow in Petersburg-Newberg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the church.
