Betty Jean Simpson

Betty Jean Simpson, age 94 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024.  Betty Jean was born on September 12, 1930 in Nelson County to the late Coy and Lizzie Jordan Bishop.  Jehovah received her into the Kingdom on September 13, 2024.  Betty was a devoted mother who loved her family very much.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Simpson; her children, Ricky and Carolyn; grandchildren, Austine, Rodney and Desmond; four sisters and 1 brother.

Betty Jean is survived by her loving children, Austin, David (Lynne), Leonard, Hattie and Pam; her sister, Jimmie Bridwell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 6pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, followed by a memorial service from 5:30pm - 6:00 pm and a Celebration of Life at 6:00.
