Betty June Satori, born Betty June Brewer on January 9, 1933, in Cedardale, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. Her remarkable journey of 93 years was marked by kindness, devotion to family, and an unfailing ability to bring a spark of joy to all who knew her.

Betty’s legacy is deeply intertwined with her steadfast commitment to caring for others. For many years, she dedicated her career to serving as a caretaker in the healthcare system, enriching the lives of those in her charge with compassion and diligence. Her work touched countless lives and reflected the nurturing spirit that was evident in every aspect of her character.

A vibrant and spunky woman, Betty was cherished for her independence and infectious sense of humor. She carried her effervescent personality into every room, greeting each day with warmth and wit. Her loved ones remember her not just as a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, but also as a source of laughter and strength, someone who inspired others simply by being herself.

Betty found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She relished an invigorating game of BINGO, could often be found engrossed in a good book, and rarely missed an episode of her favorite soap opera, The Young & the Restless. These pastimes gave her great comfort and were often shared with friends and family, leaving many fond memories of time spent together.

Family was at the heart of Betty’s world. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Schlegel, and son, Gary (Angela) Satori, who both benefitted from her unconditional love and guidance. Her grandchildren—Jesse (Amy Hoemeke) Schlegel, McKenzie (Zach) Larson, Lauren (Ethan) Turner; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Sanders and Charlie Schlegel—carry forward her legacy of kindness, humor, and resilience.

Betty was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Fred Lee Satori, as well as her parents, Wiley and Ginny Brewer. Their memories live on in the stories shared by those who knew Betty best.
