Betty Jean Napper

Betty Jean Napper, age 67, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025. She was a devoted wife, a loving mom, a cherished nana, a wonderful sister, an aunt, and a true friend to many. Betty had a remarkable green thumb, delighting in her plants, and she had a knack for finding great deals at the local Goodwill. Family gatherings filled with card games were always a favorite pastime for her, as was her love for BINGO outings. Her bright spirit and friendly nature meant she never met a stranger, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Born on May 12, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, Betty is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Craft; her mother, Doris Jean Craft; her granddaughter, Lilly Berkowitz; and her brother, Robert Craft.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Mark Willard Napper; her daughters, Michelle Napper (Sean Woodrum), Mindy Berkowitz (Justin), and Kimberly Brant (Christie); her cherished furry companion, Max; her grandsons, Nicholas and Mark Berkowitz; and her siblings, Teresa Hibbard (Jim), Judy Drakopulos (Dallas), Tina Seaton (Mary), Johnny Craft (Tammy), Michael Craft (Angie), Roger Craft (Faye), and Donald Craft. Betty is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the same location, with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
