Betty Mae Ray, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 14, 1942 to the late Herman Lee and Rose Mae Corley. She was a member of Gospel Kingdom Pentecostal Church and worked for many years at Speedway.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years, William Carl Ray; children, DeWayne Del Pryor, William Ray Pryor, Carolyn Rose Branhan, Harry Lee Pryor; step-daughter, Susan Leigh (Carter) Fontaine; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Samuel Stinson, Judy Pryor and Ronald Stinson; and a host of other family members and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be conducted 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the funeral home.
