Betty Jeanne Miller

Betty Jeanne Miller, age 87 of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014. A stunningly beautiful woman, Betty Jeanne Miller was in music as a musician and vocalist since age 12. She had two marriages, raised two sons and managed to be at the top in her field, and be a sweet and "present" mother. She made our life sweet, fun and exciting and always remained a glamorous and a great lady. From her days post WWII at the "Seelbach's" Plantation Room in the 40's through to being on one of the first commercially sponsored TV programs on WAVE, and later was hostess of a local gameshow, "Sense and Nonscense" on WHAS in 1956. She stood on the Berlin Wall in 1964 with her husband and received an award from Radio Free Europe. She took some years off to raise her second son William but returned to performing and kept going well into her 80's. She was a lifetime member of the Musician's Union local. For the last 30 years she assisted her son Louis at his salon, making many lifetime friends. Recently Louis and his partner Robert were blessed to welcome her into their home for her last five months, being happy, care free and surrounded by love and her favorite things. Louis, Robert and William will miss her tremendously and so too her many admirers.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Louis S, Crume, and widow of Dr. Robert J. Miller.

Betty Jeanne is survived by sons Louis Crume and William Miller.

There will be a Memorial Celebration of Betty Jeanne's life at from 4-6pm on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at KT's Restaurant, 2300 Lexington Rd, Louisville, KY 40206.
