Betty Jean Lashley, 77, of Louisville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 29, 2017. Betty was born in Louisville on July 4, 1939 to the late Porter Holmes and Lola Mae Garrett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lashley; step-father, Jesse Garrett; and four siblings, James Holmes, Shirley Holmes, Brenda Baron, and Bonnie Logan. She leaves two children, Donna Exley (Dan Swift) and Robert Holmes; two sisters, Temple Scott and Roberta Ksendzuk; and three nephews, Brian Ragland, Greg Lindley, and Marc Ksendzuk.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation from 1:00 pm until time of service.
