Betty Jean (Dowdle) Hines, 74, of New Albany, Indiana was called home on Saturday, August 1, 2015. She was born on December 1, 1940 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Gilbert and Lonnetta (Steager) Dowdle. Betty loved to do art work, was a very talented singer, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 40 plus years, Phillip Noel Hines; children, David Hutchinson, Mike Hines, Angela (Hines) Smallwood (Matthew); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5 to 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) with her service to follow at 6 PM.
