Betty Jule Huth, a devoted stay-at-home wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family, passed away on June 17, 2026, in Georgetown, Indiana. Born on November 24, 1935, in New Albany, Indiana, Betty was a proud graduate of New Albany High School and carried her hometown pride throughout her life.

Betty was known not only for her unwavering dedication to her family but also for the joy she found in a wide range of interests and hobbies. She had a deep love for animals, enjoyed fishing, and was a member of her Bunco Club. Betty also delighted in outings to the casino, sewing, boating and water skiing, traveling, and spending peaceful times at the camp. These passions added vibrant color to her days and reflected her zest for life.

She was married to George “Buzz” F. Huth, with whom she shared a loving marriage until his passing. Betty’s family was the centerpiece of her existence, and she was immensely proud of each one. She is preceded in death by her husband, George “Buzz” F. Huth; her daughter, Beverly Ann Huth; her grandson, George “Allan” Huth; and her parents, Elmer and Dorothy Masterson.

Betty leaves behind a legacy through her loving surviving family. Her children: Son, George E. Huth; Daughter, Betsy Huth; Son, Edward (Susan) Huth; and Son, Michael (Lisa Needler-Huth) Huth. Her grandchildren who carry forward her spirit with love: Kevin (Amanda) Sorrels, Sarah (Zac) Noorman, Chad Huth, Kyle Huth, Kelsey Huth, Jenna Huth, Henry Huth, Alex and Brad Wagoner, Zoe Nowling, and Ashley (Larry) Compton. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Zyra, Larry, Levi, Luke, Mia, Audrey, and Derek, who all brought immense happiness to her heart.

A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150, on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and continuing on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM. The celebration of Betty’s life with a Mass will follow on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, 5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.

Betty Jule Huth’s life was defined by love, family, and joyful engagement with the world around her. She will be remembered with deep respect and affection by all who knew her, leaving an enduring impact on those she loved so dearly.

The family requests that contributions in Betty’s memory be made to St. Jude.
