Betty Jane Griffin, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and Grammy to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was strong willed and independent, but always present for her family. Betty had a passion for capturing memories with her family and could always be found taking videos and pictures of her cherished friends and relatives. She had a strong work ethic and took pride in building her career of being a skilled domestic engineer and providing clean homes for her clients. Betty will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
She was born on October 16, 1942 in Lynch, Kentucky to Henry Clark and Lillie Maude Siler. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Hayden Griffin; sons, Christopher Allen Griffin, Michael Keith Griffin; sister, Ethel "Gail" Dunaway; and her brother, Preston Willie Siler.
Betty is survived by her loving family, sister, Frances Raylene Behrman; grandchildren, Brittany Nicole (Aaron) Little; Zane Michael Griffin; Damien Christopher (Courtney) Griffin, Crystal Elizabeth Griffin; great-grandchildren, Landon, Finnegan, Isla and Jameson Little; Waylon, Wyatt, and Wrenlee Griffin; Melody, Harmony and Symphony Griffin; daughters-in-law, Regina Lynn Griffin, Amy Denise Abd El Aziz; fur babies, Gizmo and Axl; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of her life will be at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Betty will be laid to rest at a later date privately with her husband at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
