Betty Jane (Axtell) Froning

Betty Jane (Axtell) Froning, 73, of New Salisbury, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. She was a member of Pfrimmer's Chapel United Methodist Church and the New Salisbury Lions Club. She was born on November 30, 1946, in Bainbridge, New York, to the late Ralph and Leta (Sherman) Axtell. Betty was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela (Froning) Miskimen.

Betty is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Froning; children, Bryn Hedrick (Wade), Bethany Burnette (David), Adam Bacon (Kimberly), Kelly Viton (Raff), Jenny McConnaghay, and Meri Beth Richardson (Brad); sisters, Yvonne Berman (Paul), Mary Walton (James), and Carol Axtell (Lynda); grandchildren, Jacob Hedrick, Kayla Hedrick, Zachary Bacon, Ashley Bacon, Jonathan Bacon, Michael Burnette, Alyson Burnette, Page Burnette, Tiffany Greer (Brandon), William Miskimen (Andrea), Danielle Miskimen, Sofia Swanson, Dylan Swanson, Caily Richardson, Hayden Richardson, Rosie Viton, and Raff Viton; and great-grandchildren, Gideon, Ophelia, Michael, and Lucy.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Betty's funeral service will be held privately, and cremation will follow according to her wishes.
