Betty Jean Duncan, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019. Betty retired from GE after 20 years. She was a member of Portland Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Betty loved to cook and was known for her fried chicken, greens, chili, and hot water cornbread.
She was born on September 22, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to L.E. and Dellia (Williams) Carney. She is preceded in death by her, Husband, Raymond Duncan, Daughter, Kimberly Woods, Parents, Sisters Anna Pearl Morton, and Patricia Norris.
Betty is survived by her Daughters, Nicole (Christopher) Woods-Nichols, Ramona (Milton) Nichols, and Denise Woods, Son, Ricky Woods, Brothers, Louis (Shirley) Carney, and Jesse (Barbara) Carney, Sisters, Lou Evelyn (Junie) Bibbs, and Mary Helen Collins. Betty also leaves behind to cherish her memory 16 Grandchildren, and a host of Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Extended Family.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
