Betty Carol Eyl

Betty Carol Eyl, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023.

She was born on January 18, 1949 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Carlton Merrill and Betty Jane Lowe. Carol was a graduate of Seneca High School, and received her Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University. She did her student teaching in Logan County and taught reading at Lewisburg School and Chandlers Chapel School. Carol then moved to JCPS where she taught reading at Coral Ridge Elementary, Knight Middle School, and Bruce Middle School before retiring in 1998.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Kenneth Eyl; daughter, Allison (Chris) Allen; grandsons, Ryan Allen and Luke Allen; and sister, Mary M. (Eugene Lacefield) Lowe.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm that day at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.

The family requests that contributions in Carol's memory be made to Hosparus Health of Louisville.
