Bessie F. "Betty" (Rudolph) Jones, 88, of New Albany passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Betty was a member of Northside Christian Church in New Albany. She formerly owned Laine's Hairstyling in New Albany.

Betty was born on July 17, 1922 in Harrison County, Indiana to the late Otto and Ermal (Vance) Rudolph.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Jones; children, Gerry Blackburn (Elmer) of Simpsonville, Kentucky, Dennis Brian (Sammie) of Floyds Knobs, and Delaine Stewart (H. Keith) of Sellersburg; stepchildren, Mark Jones, Debbie Jones, and Tammy Potts, all of New Albany and Donnie Jones of Clarksville; grandchildren, Stacey Smith, Jennifer Brian, Melissa Williams (Scott), Jessica Kane (Chris), and Brian Stewart; and step grandchildren, Jacklyn Jones, Tonya, Tiffany, and Tabatha Samples.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Friday, April 1, 2011 and after 9 AM on Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be 11 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Memorial contributions may be made to Northside Christian Church (4407 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150).
