Bernice Elois (Larimore) Bennett, 94, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025. Bernice was a talented seamstress and an avid collector of tea pots. She was also a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She was born on July 28, 1930 in Bluff Boom, Kentucky to Delmar and Lottie (Wright) Larimore. Along with her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husbands, William Wooley, William Rankin, Harry McWilliams, Vaughn Bennett; son, Perry Rankin; sisters, Elda Allen, Frances Free; and brothers, Edward and Morris Larrimore.
Bernice is survived by her daughters, Vicki Powell, Penny Fowler (Tim) and Teresa Beckman (Rick); daughter-in-law, Elaine Rankin; grandchildren, Christopher Powell (Amanda), Catherine Powell (Keith Jordan), Rachel Corder (Michael), Claire Newton (Ian), Gabrielle Jones (Brandon), Troy (Jihye) Fowler, Travis Fowler, Rebecca, Rachel, and Richard (Rankin); great-grandchildren, Reece Corder, Brantley, Olivia, Garrett, Greydon and Cohen Newton, Elowen and Amelia Jones, Julia and Jenna Fowler; and sister, Rachel Hammon.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (8310 St. John Road, Floyds Knobs) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
