November 4, 1940 — January 1, 2017

Bernard "Red" Castile, Jr., 76, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017. In his younger years, Red enjoyed cars, horses, and motorcycles. He loved to work with his hands and could build or fix anything. Bernard worked for over 25 years with Padgett, Inc. in New Albany.

He was born on November 4, 1940, in Madisonville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard, Sr., and Rose Castile; sister, Linda Castile; and brother, Tom Castile.

Bernard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ethel (Robinson) Castile; daughters, Tina Castile and Tracy Lewellen (Kevin); sister, Virginia Feck (Woody); brother, Bill Castile (Gloria); and grandchildren, Bradley Castile and Kylee Lewellen.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Veron Cemetery.
